Kirchgemeinde St. Georg Berlin.Seit Februar 2016 ist er Organist an der historischen Hill&Son-Orgel (1895) in St. Afra Berlin.
Jonas Wilfert was born in 1991 and grew up near Leipzig. Since his earliest childhood he was wise to the fact that he will become a church musician. From his 6th year of age onwards he received piano lessons and extensive musical training by Horst Anders. Already in the elementary school age he backed services with the organ. When he was 12 years old he got additional organ lessons. He was especially shaped by his teachers Elmar Lehnen and Matthias Eisenberg. Now he is studying church music at the University of Arts in Berlin and since 2015 also „Organ-improvisation“ with Wolfgang Seifen in addition.
Concerts as a soloist led him to the „Bachfest Leipzig“, the „Leipzig-Wagner-Festival“, the Berlin Cathedral, the Gewandhaus Leipzig and more. For a concert with organ-improvisations on themes by Wagner, Jonas Wilfert received a Bayreuth-scholarship.
From 2014 till 2016 Jonas Wilfert was full-time church musician at the catholic parish „St. Georg“ in Berlin. Since February 2016 he is organist at the Hill&Son-Organ (1895) in St. Afra, Berlin.
